2017.06

Another month, another tournament in the garage around back!

23 players squeezed in to the surprisingly warm garage.  We had to open up the blast door and let the air breeze through, and then it wasn't too bad.  By break time we had 3 re-entries, including one from Barb who had started the evening with 3 very special "Show 'Em" chips that she had won last month by spinning the wheel-o-fun.  These chips were special because she could use them after the break!  And use them she did, indeed, after the break for the first time in PSP history.

It was after the second break when the third table finally broke, quite a long time despite all the heavy action and bloated pots.

Our final table formed at about 11, it was just after midnight when the money bubble burst.

Our unlucky bubble boy this time around was Andrew - who it turned out wasn't too unlucky as he got to spin the mighty Wheel-O-Fun and picked hisself up a nice deck o; cards for his trouble.

The next to bust, getting their money back in fifth place was the cashing machine known as Barb.  Guess those show-em chips came in handy after all!

Oh also she had this happen - very little action on the hand unfortunately.

Finishing in fourth place was yours truly who lost 3 flips in a row, slightly behind twice and way ahead once, and had to settle for $120 plus $25 in bounties.  I'll take it.  Beats busting first like I have in the past two monthly tournaments.

Finishing third was Stephen U. who saw a massive chip lead evaporate in a couple of hands.  Still, he got $180 plus another $25 in bounties for an amount much closer to the usual second place amount.

And then there were two.

Once again, Randall had to settle for being a bridesmaid, but he got $260 plus $10 in bounties, again - very much more in line with a typical first place finish.

And this fine fellow got $300 for first, $10 in bounties and a seat in January's Tournament of Champions.  Well done Jeffie!

Our next monthly will be on November 4th, same Bat-Time same Bat-Channel, stay tuned for the evite.

Until then, peace and we out!
