Don't worry, it's still the same price - but I have a new tool to make the whole buy-in and re-buy/add-on procedure less annoying for everyone.
For NLHE Tournaments -
$20 gets you T5000.
There is a one time only and entirely optional re-buy OR add-on.
Either option is $20 for T5000.
To re-buy you must bust down to the felt before the break.
To add-on you must not use your re-buy.

What are these weird chips for?
When you register for the tournament, you have the option of paying for your re-buy/add-on in advance.
If you elect to do so, I will give you this chip.
If you bust down to the felt before the break, holler "Re-buy!", stay in your seat and I will trade you five yellow T1000 chips for your green re-buy/add-on chip.
If you make it to the break without busting, leave your green re-buy/add-on chip in front of your tournament chips, I will come around and exchange the chip for five yellow T1000 chips.
If you choose not to pay for your re-buy/add-on in advance, I will give you this chip.
If you bust down to the felt before the break, holler "Re-buy!", stay in your seat and I will trade you five yellow T1000 chips for your red re-buy/add-on chip AND $20.
If you make it to the break without busting, leave your red re-buy/add-on chip in front of your tournament chips ON TOP OF $20, and I will come around and exchange the chip and money for five yellow T1000 chips.
If you choose not to add-on, simply leave the chip with no money underneath and I will collect it.
This chip system is now in place simply to save me the time and trouble of writing down who has and hasn't done their re-buys and add-ons. Yay for less work!

All fixed limit tournaments are T8000 chip freeze outs with a $40 buy in.
Otherwise, it was a delightful evening that saw 21 players gather around 3 tables in the garage around back.
Originally we had 24 players scheduled to make it, but three had to cancel at the last minute. This is absolutely fine, because they all called and let me know. One player even called at 7pm - again, this is FINE. Not a big deal whatsoever to pull a stack and a chair before the tournament starts or as it begins. I appreciate the players letting me know, and I hope they can make it next time.
We had 6 rebuys before the break, but no busts. The first to hit the rail after the break was Amy L., who has a preference, as many good players do, of going big or going home.
What started as a slow trickle soon turned into a flurry of eliminations, with table 3 breaking at just after 10 and a final table being drawn at 10:50pm.
Our 7th place finisher and DVD "bubble" was Jeff M.
The money back "bubble" was sixth place finisher John S. who received $40.
Five handed play, as seen in the video, lasted for a good two hands before Tony G. busted in fifth for $70 plus $10 in bounty money.
After coloring up the black chips four handed play continued with three Mike's and one Chris. Which led to a good dozen or so remarks from me like "I like how Mike played that hand, but Mike really screwed it up." It was very funny EVERY TIME.
It was over a half hour before the next victim fell, Mike K. who despite live cards couldn't outrun Mike M.'s overs. Mike M. needed the influx of chips badly after having his stack decimated earlier by Mike P.'s kings. Mike K. took home $100 for fourth place.
Like the gentleman he is, Mike K. stayed on until the end, shuffling and dealing for the rest of the night. Thanks so much Mike K.!
Mike M. was well on his way to the chip lead when his AJ ran into my Aces after a very reasonable four bet. With less than 35 big blinds on the table total, it was time to go and luck would rule the rest of the evening.
Mike M. busted a couple of hands later and took home $120 plus $10 in bounty monies.
Then it was just yours truly and Mike P. With Mike having me covered by just a bit and the blinds gi-normous, I suggested an even chop of first and second place money - $250 apiece. Mike agreed, and we played for the points and the trophy.
Mike quickly built up his lead, and then lost with his K10 to my 107 when I turned trips. Despite me getting my money in bad, that is - dominated, two more times, I managed to suck out on Mike both times. But the fourth time I got it in super lousy, Mike's hand finally held and he barely had me covered.
So Mike P. takes down his second tournament in a row, getting top points and the trophy! Well done Mike! After only cashing once last season, it looks like the curse of the PSP Player Of the Year winner only lasts 12 months or so. Hang in there Dog and Marc! :)

There may or may not be a cash game on an upcoming Friday night. Stay tuned, and remember that long time regulars get the evite first. If the table doesn't fill I invite newer players.
While we already have one representative going to the World Series of Poker this year, I figure we should send another one!
I got a lot of interest at the cash game the other night, so here is what I have planned -

$150 Entry.
Winner(s) gets a seat in the World Series of Poker!
5 or fewer players, I cancel the satellite.
6-9 players we play for a single 1K seat.
10-13 players we play for a single $1500 seat.
14+ players we play for two 1K seats.
If a seat winner cashes in the WSOP - he/she gets 60%, the rest is shared evenly with satellite participants.
Extra monies in the prize pool up to $300 will go to the seat winner to help offset travel expenses.
If the amount of extra cash exceeds $300, the remaining cash will be paid to the second place finisher so they at least can recoup some, all or more of their buy-in.
If the total amount of extra cash meets or exceeds $750, then it will be parlayed into another 1K seat. The winner of this seat puts up his own money to make up the 250 difference, but in return gets to keep 75% of his/her winnings instead of 60%.
The satellite will have the same structure as the $1500 event with half hour levels and twice as many starting chips (9K).
Mark your calender - Saturday, April 21st. We start at Noon. It could go late.
There will also be a BBQ at 11am, feel free to come munch on burgers and dogs, bring your own meat if you want something, er, meatier.
