No politics at PSP - just Patriotism!
Extra-Large Card Capper, another prize for the winner.
Our largest chip set, just about all of them were put into service.
A nod to what happened 50 years ago to the day.
Everything was ready to go a good half hour before the start time, and it was another 15 minutes before one body, then another and then another came in through the gate and threw down their monies and their mad poker skillz.
All in all 38 people showed up and threw down - plus we had a gang of re-entries, and yours truly was among the second bullet crowd - alas to no avail as I busted early. BUT, it did let me focus on what mattered, that the tournament went off without a hitch!
We had four levels instead of the usual five before a short break, then five levels and then a half hour dinner break. We had a handful of people who busted before dinner, Gareth was the first but I was right on his heels.
We had a gang of new players, four I think - it was great having each and every one of them, I handed out cards, so guys - if you want to get on the list for monthly tournaments, makes sure you email me! Jacob K already did! Also friend me on the Facebook - we have a private PSP page with all sorts of fun goodies and extras.
Our fist table broke at 5:45, the second didn't break until 7.
The third table broke at 730 and finally we were down to our final group at 845.
Frank had a mountain of chips at this point, but so did several others including longtime player Julie A who took a break from hosting her own successful home game to join us this afternoon.

Final table gang! Two new players, yay!
We were paying roughly 20% of the field, so that meant 8 players, and coincidentally we had a double knock out before the redraw and Randall and Andrew respectively bubbled at separate tables.
First to bust and get some cheddar was George who got his buy in back.
Next out in 7th place for double that amount was Legacy player Mr. Allen R.
The next payout went to one of two new players at the final table - Joe (guest of Josh I believe) - he got $220 in sixth.
Then we got into some nice payouts, with the other new guy Mark D (guest of Julie) scooping up $300 in fifth. Nice! This is normally an amount in line with a first place payout at PSP!
Four left!
And then there were three... great to see two of the better sex in the final three.
And then there were two!
Wonder what Sheyna is texting about lol
And then it was on like the proverbial Donkey Kong. The fight was brief but intense. Frank had Julie slightly covered when this nonsense went down.
Frank flopped the world, Julie flopped top pair. Frank then hit running 7s lol
Looking like our next one will be August 17, at the normal 5pm. Hopefully it won't be a million degrees. If it is a scorcher I may push it to our old start time of 7pm. Either way we will for sure be out on the patio.
Thanks everyone who came out and made it a great time as always, especially a big thanks to those who brought fresh meat, er, I mean new faces - everyone was great and is of course invited back. They should all have my email, so don't be shy about letting me know you want on the evite.
Until our next great adventure - thanks so much for reading and PEACE AND WE OUT.
