2017.02

26 playas found their way into the garage on a delightfully balmy evening in March, while they were there they also played poker.

Action was fast and furious from the get-go.  Yours truly found himself at table #2 for a change - as tables were uneven when we started.  Pots were bloated from the outset and players were more than ready to get all the chips in as fast as they could.  So fast that we had our first bust before the break!  Jerry found himself out the door with barely an hour of poker under his belt.  Hey Jerry!  Re-enter baby!

Jerry was gone so quick he didn't have time to spin the wheel-o-fun, so Brian, who busted next after the break, gave it a whirl and landed on green - which means lotto ticket.  Unfortunately he scratched and lost, but maybe next time!

We stayed at three tables for the next hour and a half.

It was just after ten when the red table broke - it was another almost two hours before we had our final table.

Barb's poker face.

And after the final table formed it was well after midnight that we had our bubble boy - as you can maybe guess from the micro-stack above, it was Art.  Art also got to spin the wheel-o-fun and I'm afraid he only hit THE JACKPOT!  $30 to Art and the pool resets to $20 for the next monthly.  He almost made his money back, and even better news his better half Priya was in the monies!  Nice!

First to exit and get their money back was a new player for the garage, Eric - who saw his monstrous chip lead whittled down and eventually eliminated at the final table.  He got his money back plus $15 in bounties, not too shabby for a garage debut!

Barbara was next to fall, taking double her buy in and zero in bounties cause she doesn't play that shit.

Finishing in fourth place for $120 plus $20 in bounties for a tidy $100 profit was poker juggernaut Mike P. who only flashed one middle finger instead of the double salute on his way out the door.

And then there were three.

130am approached and players, per my suggestion agreed to split the remaining cash evenly, each player taking home a whopping $270, an amount typically close to a first place finish.  All seemed pleased to secure the cash, but there was still a seat to play for.

Priya busted out shortly after the deal was made, quite pleased - and rightly so - at her first cash at Pepper Street.

And then there were two.

Jeff had nine lives in this tournament, he had come back from the nub more than once and also faded elimination heads up two separate times but for the perfect card hitting the board to bail him out.  In the end, his run good was too much for Jason to overcome; so even though they both had the same amount of monies, it was Jeff who ended up with the seat.  Well done Jeff!

Deuces never loses!
Thanks to one and all who came out and made it fun.  It was great having new player Eric and also seeing Meg who has been MIA for awhile.  Hope you both come back for our next one which is Saturday, April 22 - same Bat-time same Bat-channel.

Until then, peace and we out!
