It was a rather hot and gross day that turned into a bearable evening in the wide open garage around back on Pepper Street. 19 degenerates gathered round the felt for some always exciting no-limit hold-em tournament action.
Randall was our first bust and hit the rail barely into the second round, he declined a re-entry and left with both middle fingers extended. It was well after the first break when we had our next elimination.

Just after 10:30 the trickle of bust outs accelerated and it was final table time.

| Shit just got real.
After 90 minutes of play as midnight came and went, the money bubble did indeed burst, with Josh F. the unfortunate bubble boy. Half an hour later the good Doctor David took his leave, winning his buy in back and a bounty as well.
Just after 1am Colin H. succumbed in fourth place and pocketed double his buy in and a bounty as well.
Three handed play lasted almost another half hour with blinds rising and every pot a major consequence of position and size.
All three players shared the chip lead at one time or another, but at long last Stuver, who is a long time PSP regular but usually only plays in our cash game, locked up third place monies of $120, plus another four bounties! Well done Stuve, you need to play tournaments more often - obviously.
And then there were two. Of all the players, Lalaine had been the one with the biggest stack for most of the tournament, but as 2am approached, she found herself about even with yours truly. We both had just over 200K, but with blinds about to be 10 and 20K, it was going to devolve into a TOTAL coin flip.
So I proposed an even money split, and since I have already won two tournaments this year and have my Tournament of Champions seat locked up, I offered the TOC seat to my opponent and she gladly accepted. Not something I would normally do, but the hour was late and she had dominated the tournament for so long, it seemed the correct course of action.
We each took home $220 in prize monies, but the seat winner also pocketed $35 in bounties. Well done Lalaine!
A big thanks to everyone who came out and endured the heat and the bugs. Thanks also to my brother who put in a rare but very welcomed appearance and also helped shuffle for most of three handed play.
Our next tournament is a very special one, for the first time ever, Pepper Street Poker will be hosting a Main Event, held to coincide with that other Main Event in Vegas.
The buy in will be $80 instead of $40, with no bounty. We will start at 4pm and play with half hour levels, I expect the tournament to end at about the same time as our regular events. First place stands to pocket a lot more than usual, plus he/she will also win a seat to the TOC and best of all get to take home this beauty...

It was going to be on Saturday the 18th, but turns out I have to go to a wedding that day, so I'm moving it to Saturday, July 11th, hope that date works for ya! There may or may not be a cash game between now and then, but we will see.
