Thankfully, it was cozy enough in the garage, with two mediocre space heaters and 12 degenerate gamblers who sat down to throw down in the rapid-fire Fix Limit streets! With a nine game rotation and gumption and not much else, it would once again be a night to remember!
As always, with Fix Limit play, it was rapid and and often destructive - with chips flying very early on.
Yours truly spun up a stack quickly -
And then, alas, lost almost all of it rather slowly over the next several hours. With two tables of six, the numbers were perfect to play ALL the games in the rotation, including the many draw variations and all three stud varieties.
As per usual, there were the big winners - our guest of honor Mr. Eric I believe took home the most, cashing out at a reasonable hour (nearly midnight) for a lovely $300+ total.
Other players (Mr. Rich above) were up a bit, and others were left with crumbs and some folks had only bare felt when their evening ended. When the dust cleared from a flurry of cash-outs, the late night crew slid into table 1.
This gang stuck around until, wait for it - 239am! If that's not the record at PSP, it's very close! Your humble host didn't hit the sack until well after three - but it was worth it, as the final couple of hours were very good to me and I managed to get unstuck from down $160 to just about even! I'll take it!
Another player spun up an even bigger stack - and though he was in for $200, I think he still finished well in the black. Nicely done Mr. Jason, who had acquitted himself well as dealer at table #2 before coming over to table #1 and playing the role of wrecking ball.
Not sure just yet exactly when our next poker night is going to be - there's rumors of a Friday night special tournament next Friday the 12th at le' Moose. If that's the case then our last poker night of the year is likely going to be Friday, Dec 19. It will be a Big Mix cash game, and I hope you can all make it!
