2025.14

Yeah, it had been a minute since the last cash came in the garage - almost 7 days! So once again the faithful gathered, to sit down and throw down in the Big Mix arena in the garage around back.

19 Games awaited the 12 gladiators, who happily spread out over two tables. Table one was yours truly, along with Wiz, MC, Ian, Lea Anne and Colin. Table two played host to dealer Jason, along with Stuver, Rich, Allen R, Alan S and Jeff G.

Only 19 games lol

I was dealing at table 1, so I didn't have time to take pictures until well after three hours.  Ms. Lea Anne had already cashed out, so sad to say there's no photographic evidence that she played - but indeed she did!

Because tables were 6 and 6, and then 6 & 5 after 1030, we indeed played ALL the games.  Including Badugi, SOHE, Razz, NL 2-7 Single Draw and FL 2-7 Triple Draw!  Among others!

As always, there was a wide spectrum of results by the end of the night.  Some were up a bit, a couple of folks had crumbs, and a few of us (happy to report) were up in solid profit.

Incidentally, the end of the night for most players was midnight - but five hearty souls carried on well past that.  M.C. booked a win and cashed out his chips at 12:30ish.  The game continued four handed and then broke finally at 1am with Ian, Allen R, Wiz and yours truly staying to the very end.

Ian and Jason both collected well over $200 in cashing out - but I'm delighted to report that your humble host was the night's biggest wiener - I spun up chips early on, and then just continued to run pure - ending with well over $400 in profit!  Not quite my record, but close!

In for $100 - out for $578!  Dang!

As always, a huge thanks to all the true degens who came out to play true poker of the mixed kind.  Your enthusiasm is infectious - and cash games are always the most fun because of the joy you all bring!  I am truly grateful for you all!

The next scheduled event is a 1pm No-Limit Hold-Em tournament next Saturday.  Fortunately it won't be 90° - rather it's supposed to be a high of 70° - so that should be lovely.  I'm a bit surprised to see that we aren't getting very good numbers at this point.  Perhaps people are confused by the branding of the tournament as a "WSOP Warm-Up" thinking it's some kind of satellite or obligation tournament.  It's not, it's just a tiny bit higher buy-in and a deeper structure to get us warmed up for the WSOP, but there's no obligation or complication beyond that.

Perhaps I'll change the branding, or maybe move it to the normal time of 5:30, or perhaps just cancel it if it seems we aren't even going to get a single table.  We will see.  In any case, I'm very much looking forward to the next round of poker, whatever form it takes!

Until then, peace and we out!
