We were going to have 10 players, but one player recently had the flu and so graciously withdrew, which this host really appreciates. There’s always another game!
And so 9 it was! This meant that draw games were off the table, but we had a blast anyways with a bit o’the Hold-Em, Crazy Pineapple and no less than three Omaha variations. We also had a single orbit of the Cadillac of stud games, Razz, which played a bit bigger than usual thanks to our new fix limit stakes.
I must say, bumping the betting levels up to $2/$4 felt great and resulted in pots a lot more in line with our No Limit and Pot Limit games. Razz was particularly good for your humble host, who saw no less than three chunky pots pushed his way.
And of course, a few left with dust, though they still got more than a few hours of quality poker playing time in.
Once the first couple of players called it a night, we dipped into other games like Badugi and SOHE. Good times!

Overall it was a super fun night and I’m so grateful that the wife is now healthy enough that we can all get back together again and play some cards! God willing she keeps getting better, and we expect she will, we can expect a lot more poker in the garage in 2025, including tournaments!

I’m very much looking forward to this, but in the meantime I hope you all have the happiest of holidays and a safe and joyful New Years! Keep a lookout for future invites - there will be cash games in January almost for sure, not certain exactly when the first tourney will happen. We shall see!
