Friday Cash - 2024.02

It was super chilly cold in the mean poker streets of Burbank in the garage around back as no less than 13 degenerate gamblers gathered around to mix it up in the mix games of poker.

13 is a very lucky number for hosting mix games, because that means two tables!  6 and 7 respectively, which means all of the games can be played - and play them we did!

As always, players sit down as they arrive, first filling table 1 and then filling table two.  First in, last out!

Jason, Colin, Jeff G, MC, Lea Anne, Bud and yours truly made up the first table. The second table featured Allen S, Stuver, Priya, Joe, Rich and Mr. Tom S esquire.

The action and the variety of games were wild all night long. There was music playing, but you could hardly hear it at times because everyone was so boisterous. Table number two especially, seemed to be quite raucous.

Meanwhile over at table number one, I can tell you as somebody who was playing there, chips were flying left and right all night long. Including a massive three-way all in that saw over $300 up for grabs in one hand. The game was SOHE, simultaneous Omaha and Hold-Em, so it did end up a chop, but that was still one one for the record books.

Thanks very much to Jeff and Jason for snapping all the pictures, your humble host was dealing all night long. I was also apparently winning all night long, as I spun up a big stack within a few hours and then capped the evening off with a game breaking set of nines over a set of deuces to felt a large stack and send everyone running.

Yes I was on a sun run, better lucky than good!

A big thanks to everyone who came out to gamble it up across potentially 17 different games. We indeed did play nearly all of them, including triple drawl variations of Kansas City low and even Badugi and Badacey! Now that’s what I call variety!

We have gone to 2 AM in the past, but this was a light night, the aforementioned no limit hold ‘em cooler sent the remaining five players just after midnight off in a hurry to get out of the cold, both the weather and the deck! Hey guys it’s all right, there’s still plenty of time for me to punt this away!

All told it was almost $500 in profit, yet another big night for yours truly. I feel truly humbled and blessed to run so good sometimes, I know the pendulum will swing at some point, but I am grateful for the uptick at the moment. The rest of the field was a good mixture of small winners and small losers, with a couple of felted folks as well. Typical cash game night!

Unfortunately it looks like the next two weekends are out for cash, the next one likely will be at 1 PM on Saturday, March 2 before our 5:30 PM Omaha eight fiesta. Keep your eyes peeled for the Evite!

Until then, peace and we out!
