It's August, so that can only mean one thing.  Time for poker al' fresco!

24 gamblers gathered round underneath the old patio on Pepper Street for some tasty No Limit Hold-em tournament action.

And speaking of tasty.

Action was heavy, but not so hot - a delightfully breezy 80 degrees or so.  A nice change from some of the down right nasty hot and muggy evenings we've had in the past.   Everyone had to remain vigilant when dealing so that the constant but delightful breeze didn't blow the cards face up.  At my table I basically was the dealer as everyone with the deck would just slide a card to me before I slid it along to everyone else.

The lights popped on and the sun went down.  We only lost one player before the break, and it was just before the break.  After that the bust outs started slow but remained steady until the third table (the red table of fun) broke.

It cooled off a bit more and the final table formed at 10:45.   Then this happened...

The main pot went to Barbara who flopped QUAD Jacks!  The side pot went to Mike Km. who spiked an ace on the river.   Thanks poker!

Midnight approached and so did the money.  Tony G. was the unfortunate bubble boy but was gracious in his exit.  Busting in 5th place and getting his money back was the ever solid and reliable Randall.

Four handed action.  The big ass stack is mine.  Better lucky than good right?

Exiting next and pocketing double his buy in plus a bounty or two was Jason H.

And then there were three.

We battled for quite a bit, it was coming up on 1am when Eric finally succumbed and scooped up $160 plus another $20 in bounties in third place.

The heads up battle between Jessie and myself lasted only a short while, maybe a dozen hands or so.  I got my money in pretty good when our stacks were about even with KK, he had A9 and turned an ace and had me covered so that was that!

We took heads up inside and I changed the chips, also I thought it would be cool to put the wrong date on the picture.

I got $260 and $20 in bounties for second place and Jesse got $340 plus another $20 or so in bounties  and a custom card protector and T.O.C. seat in January!  Well done Jessie!  Overdue and well deserved.

And yes, I forgot to take a photo.  I suck.  Thanks Garner for providing a pic.  Jessie I apologize for forgetting and I can take your picture next time if you like.  Or not.  This picture is pretty dope yo.
